BC Law School
Art Installation
Art Direction, Design, Research, Production
Seven Elm worked with Boston College Law School to develop a series of large-scale installations for a newly renovated common area, centered on the theme Expanding Legal Rights. Drawing from five pivotal moments in legal history, the project required sourcing and synthesizing archival imagery into a cohesive visual system—bringing distinct events into a unified, contemporary expression. A restrained color system—drawn from the school’s palette—introduces rhythm and contrast across the series, bringing modern clarity to historical subject matter. The work balances historical weight with precision and restraint, reflecting the school’s commitment to dignity, justice, and the ongoing expansion of legal rights.
